Structure wins

I decided to stay at home today and do some catching up (and resting perhaps). The everyday printer finally gave up the ghost, after years of excellent service. I had to go about the task of choosing one of the many available. It arrives tomorrow and should be all singing all dancing.

It's been a day of sun and rain. Mainly rain. I popped into the garden to capture a blip and the wind was whipping up the herbaceous border into a frenzy. I should have realised that meant more rain on the way. Thankfully this beautiful acanthus, bear's breeches, saved me. It is very sturdy and was hardly moving. I like the architectural nature of the stem and the light coming from the side and behind.
