Iceland Day 4 - Shortest Day

Today was the shortest day of the year.  The sun did not rise until after 11.30 and started to set at about 3.30 and never really came up properly all day.  The moon was visible for most of the day, in between snow storms...

I have found the light in Iceland quite mesmerising but also quite difficult when taking photos.

We wandered round Reykjavik today, round the city lake, up to the cemetery, around the docks for the best fish & chips ever (only feet away from where it was landed) and the climbing  the spire at Hallgrimskirkja
