Before Barbara Arrives

It was a breezy morning,  but the sun was shining and did for most of the day.  The gales started picking up in the late afternoon, and then the rain came in this evening.

I've been busy in the museum office again today.  More orders to work with, and got more out and in the post.  I also got a peerie helper, niece Elise came after school, she was waiting to meet her big sisters, Megan and Eve.  I met up with them all, before they went out for a meal, and then I had to put them home later :)  Now it's a quiet evening with Hilda Ogden on telly, and then off to work in the pub.

With a windy start to the day, it was only to get worse, up to 90mph winds later.  It was time to tie everything done that might blow away!  Jack Duncan, our boat builder, had a busy morning undoing the ropes, and tieing up tight, before Storm Barbara strikes.  Taken at Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
