Unidentified visitor - backblip

As I looked out of a rather grubby kitchen window this morning I wondered what the plump  blob of bird with a fairly long pointed beak was sitting in the bird bath.  Thought it was a Starling at first but as the bird turned round I saw a lovely chestnut/buff coloured breast - could it be a young Redwing ?? Rushed to get the camera and took lots of photos of this different visitor both in the birdbath and afterwards preening itself in the hedge. This was the best of a bad bunch I'm afraid so ID is difficult.  Can't be a Starling, surely with those flashes of chestnut on its head and breast??

We're off to stay with a friend in Derbyshire tonight and then we're all off to Kent very early tomorrow morning for yet another funeral.  At least the weather is a great deal better than last week.
