In the Pink!
My Gardener Friend is working in the local Gallery on a monday up until Christmas, so this afternoon I dropped down for a cup of tea and a chat - she promised to have the log burner lit! We caught up on where Friend was, her new grandson, local news and gossip! The Dressmaker popped in for a chat too so it was a good afternoon! I may have left the gallery with more than I came with! There are so many beautiful things there!
This polar bear is made by another friend - the jumpers are a new addition and look just so good on her figures - there was a fox too - wearing a red jumper!
Evening was a bit of a drama - a friend of mine lives 2 doors up from Friend and messaged me to say deliveryman was at her house and there was a drug drop off for Friend from Dr's and no one was home. Friend was still at the hospital for appointment with anaesthetist regarding stoma op if it should be needed further down the line.So I threw on shoes and a coat and ran up to take delivery! Fed their cat too as had no idea if she was staying in or they had sent her to the hospice. Chatted to eldest daughter in Bristol who has got to the stage of second guessing the decisions that were made over the last 2 years - had she done right? Poor girl- recognise that feeling from the death of my mum and dad so reassured her she had, Friend was so proud of her, and if they had made other decisions there were would no doubt have been another set of differing problems. I have been guilty of looking back but recognise it is futile to do so - just got to let all that go. Bit hard to do so as friend finally came home but is going back in to Hospital for a Ct scan tomorrow!! So much effort for her and youngest and to what end? I will drop in tomorrow morning to see how they both are. Just seems it all lurches from one hurdle / crisis to another, can never relax as never know when the next situation will develop. Just so want Friend to be held, girls supported, and as calm and peaceful a resolution as it can be.
