Rugby in the rain
It is wonderful to have Gavin back home again, and we had a successful shopping trip to the camera store yesterday evening (as in I got spoilt for Christmas), and then this morning we went shopping in Kingston to get him his Christmas present - you can tell we have been married for some time as we make sure presents are planned and we get something we (think) we need, rather than buying something that ends up being a waste of money as it is not what we desire. They have now been packed away until Christmas!
It rained all day and it was a miserable day for rugby - but it was a lucky day for England (who beat SA) and also a lucky day for Thomas' team who won by 26-6. In fact they have played 6 matches this season and only lost one match so far. I liked this shot of the scrum half kicking the ball after he has just taken it out of the scrum (Thomas standing at the back of the scrum in the yellow boots) - and an extra of Thomas attempting to tackle a very fast player. Thomas played well although I noticed whenever there was a lull in the play (the opposition kept stopping for injuries) he would put his hands on his hips and hang his head down. It turned out he has been feeling nauseous all day. He is due to play the Last Post in the Remembrance Service tomorrow morning so I hope he will be feeling okay for that.
A welcome quiet night in tonight - catching up on some TV as usual - don't I have a scintillating social life?!
