Best friends

We decided to spend the day at the sand beach today and we all had a swim in the sea. Hubby and Olivia went on the inflatables and had a brilliant time together. Despite being so small Olivia managed to scale the inflatable iceberg (unlike a lot of others who tried, as I think Olivia's lightness helped) and then after some hesitation she launched herself off the top and into the sea. My heart was in my mouth as I watched from the beach with Dex, but she made it and was so pleased with herself! 

After another home cooked meal on the veranda we headed out for a walk to watch the sun set. It was bliss walking along the sea front as the kids hunted for crabs and tried to skim stones. It's moments like this that I must remember as Dex really does idolise his sister and she always looks out for him and was very protective of him this evening making sure he didn't slip. The photo above isn't great but it captures a moment that I will treasure and try to remember when the bickering is wearing me down!
