Swimming!

Yes, I finally got in my first swim of the year. Actually, I think it is my first ocean swim in nearly two years! That's crazy.

The water was pretty warm, once I got over the initial chill. I worked on my swimming skills for breast stroke, crawl, and back stroke. Then, I also attempted to copy a split roll-over thing that I saw in the Olympic synchronised swimming events. That was not the best choice, but it was fun!

Well, I didn't want to get my camera wet/ snagged by a scavenging crow or human, so I didn't take a picture at the beach. Instead, here are two lovely, knitted mermaids that live on my bed lately--they remind me of swimming. Aren't they sweet? I wish I could knit toys like that!
