Yoga at the Beach!
I have been taking yoga classes for about once a week, for a few years now. Last summer, I took their unlimited pass (since I had no dance classes) and I was getting some pretty awesome planks by the end of the summer! Also, it was just so magical to be outside at the beach, with deer and porpoises coming by. The sounds of waves, birds chirping, and distant sounds of fun further down the beach were wonderful, also.
This year, though, the summer classes didn't start until last Friday, so I will only have a few this summer. I am so glad to be back there, though. I missed quite a few classes at the end of the last session due to a bad flu and am rather remiss about practising on my own...so, I am definitely feeling the time off! The summer classes started so much later this year because the teacher went to Italy with her husband and children. Then, she and her husband had a later, romantic getaway to Santorini in Greece! Yeah, I'm not jealous or anything...
Anyway, this is a bit further down the beach, with my mats (I normally use one, but doing yoga on grass is very tricky with only one mat) rolled up after a nice second class back. It was very warm and bright--fingers still crossed for swimming! It also reminds me that I keep wanting to make an eye pillow, but would have to harvest the lavender soon. I also really want a bolster! They are awesome, cuddly fun...but I have rather given up on making one.
P.S., No, I did not make my mats! ...but my bunny did artistically chew the green one.
