Audition

I snapped this wee moment of katie practising her ballet before school this morning because today she had her first little audition. An audition for the school dance competition!

She came out very pleased. She was the youngest child to be out through to the final 6, which takes place in front of the school on Thursday. She did well because it wasn't what she expected. She'd taken her ballet music and arrived ready to do it, only to find the music was at the choice of those running it. She said it was all funky kind of music, not at all ballet type.... but she her ballet to it anyway, my little loon!

She also enjoyed going to the teachers Bake Off competition this morning - it's charity fortnight so theres all kinds of things going on.

It was straight to rehearsals from school. I got to see a little of them dancing whilst I was doing some paperwork. They were gorgeous! In their little yellow leotards, and some of them in pink wrap cardis, all of them with pretty yellow hair accessories- and the dance was seriously cute. She's danced hard today, her hamstring was telling her so by the end of class.

Straight to band from class. Both her band teacher and her ballet teacher noticed how much she still coughed today. Hoping it passes soon- the cold weather isn't helping her. I put her in the tub for a warm soak of her muscles. She doesn't really do spending ages soaking so I gave her a bath bomb to dissolve in the bath to slow it all down. Worked fine until he skin had a bit of a paddy at it!
