Backlit dahlias

I spent the morning dismantling and cleaning a complicated carriage clock interrupted by numerous phonecalls that had to be made or answered.   Still, there is a ray of hope for more positive news tomorrow which could even assume something of the proportions of the lovely sunburst that I spotted on the bud in this photo!  The sun came out in the garden after the rain.  There are still a surprising number of pretty flowers in bloom.

Apparently, It is a five years' birthday blip today.  I expect i will keep plodding on!
