Day 246- Kata Tjuta - Valley of the winds

Well then!
The stars!! I havnt seen that many stars since Shini by starlight in Egypt. But as my alarm rang this morning, I rolled over to look at the stars one last time, before chaseing the sunrise, and as I did, i rolled over to reveal that I had made some new friends in my sleep.. a entire ant farm! It was literally like a scene from the mummy returns, as I jumped up out of them. I knew i was a little bit tickily in the night, but I kept telling myself 'stop being a big girl' turns out I should have moved haha! Luckily for me they don't bite or I would of looked like varucca salt this morning.
Anyho.. off to the valley of the winds. We timed it perfectly as we just got back as the sun was getting high. The 7.4km walk is amazing! And with the wind just a perfect temperature. After Matt have us a little geography lesson on how both Uluru and Kata Tjuta were created, very very interesting! And knowing Uluru goes under ground for another 6km is mind blowing! I saw Philipp on the walk with his tour and he had no idea it was me with my hat and sunnies haha!  I was waving like a mad women and he said 'nice to meet you' haha cracks me up. End of the walk, Matt greeted us with chopped up oranges the little diamond.. then off for lunch
Cheeky little stop to see Mount Connor and
Lake armadear, didn't stay to long due to the million of flys. A lot of people think Mount Connor is Uluru which it does look like it, only being 4 foot smaller. But from above it is a big U shape, said to believed it was brought here in the ice age and the middle was ice.
As it's Matt's last tour, he decided to take us to some salt lakes, which wasnt on the schedule, they were so cool! A thin layer of white crystal salt over metres of thick mud. Crazy really, we took some fun photos of us jumping out of boots and things.
Kings creek is where we spent the night, cute little camp. Has a baby camel called nibbles, only thing they forgot to mention is nibbles likes to nibble boobs haha couple of the women got a little treat! Triple checked that i wasn't in a ant farm haha! Helped chop up the veg for tea and we all sat round a camp fire. Really lovely evening especially now everyone knows each other a little better.
Just settled down for the night, the fire just burning out when a dingo decided to join us on camp, beautiful things. He was a little shy, one of the German ladies who is here with her daughter, woke her daughter up loudly saying HUND haha!! So he swiftly left.
