In the bleak mid-autumn

One of those bleak and wet November days, but work was interesting as usual. I'm realising there are a lot more logistics when preparing for field trips to Africa than my trips to Asia. I tend to hop on a plane with a pair of flip flops there whereas this time I'm having to think of satellite phones and a stash of antibiotics.

Won a quiz night with some colleagues. It was organised to raise money for an elephant charity and the questions were slightly biased to those with some obscure wildlife knowledge such as the three living species that are most closely related to elephants.

A decisive victory.
