Day 14: Lavender Farm and Tintagel

Set off down the Atlantic Highway. Felt like it was the sort of road where one should be driving in a mustang convertible listening to Springsteen. But I wasn't. First stop - Lavender Farm for lavender scones with lavender jam. Skipped the lavender tea though. Carried on down the A39 calling at various towns on the way. I say ' calling at' rather than 'stopping in' because I failed to find a place to park in Barnstaple, Bude, Boscastle... You get the idea. I drove around Boscastle 3 times - bless them, the council had special 'motorhome' parking spots in their car park. Of course these were filled with those well known MASSIVE cars such as.....VW golfs, Peugeot 207s.. Did I get annoyed. Of course not. Well, maybe a little. Carried on to Tintagel, where thankfully I found a parking space. After watching the tide come in at Haven and through Merlin's Cave (surprisingly entertaining) , set off for the campsite and a well earned drink or two.
