Day 13: Braunton Burrows & Croyde Beach

Woke up to torrential rain and winds so in true British style set off for a day of hiking. Walked around Braunton Burrows (largest sand dune system in England and ecologically very important, so there) which apart from the above fella was eerily deserted. After lunch carried on to Baggy Point. Watched the surfing at Croyde Beach - well watched a lot of people standing in the water clutching on to their surfboards. I suppose everyone has to learn at some point. Well, that's not true. They could have not bothered. And just enjoyed the view instead. With a beer. Like I did.
