Donkey without a tail

Today was a holiday (Finados – Day of the Dead), but the market must go on. By lunchtime, the temperature was hovering around the 40 degrees C (104 F) and anyone who could was snoozing in the shade. Those who pull carts like the one in the photo  are called ‘Burros sem rabo’ – Donkeys without tails’.

Not much else to report, except that we’ve just got back from a choir rehearsal (performance on the 23rd), at 10:30 pm our simple supper is still in the oven and HH is in the kitchen cooking a curry.
