Day of the Duck

We decided to go over to RSPB Old Moor today. It's been a while since I've been, but today it was possible to shoe-horn it in between Fungi visits. The weather improved as the day went on, and despite quite a bit of bird-scaring heavy machinery remodelling some of the scrapes there were plenty of Winter wildfowl. We got some good sightings of a Kingfisher but we apparently missed the floorshow it put on outside the Bittern Hide.
