Simply Seasonal

We had a drive out to Longshaw today to participate in the consultation which is taking place. A couple of years ago, we opened a new car park, which was much bigger and was generally very popular with visitors. The other "facilities" (cafe, shop and toilets) are now woefully inadequate for the number of visitors and at busy times it's a nightmare for the catering staff who operate under very cramped conditions. Also, the buildings have been erected or converted in a piecemeal fashion and are greatly in need of rationalising. Time then for a complete makeover. The plans look great - sympathetic, light and airy, and definitely fit for purpose. If / when the plans are approved, it will take some time to get underway, let alone to complete the project.
Of course, no trip to Longshaw would be complete without a walk, even if  only a short one, especially when the trees are looking at their autumnal best.
