Goodbye Great British Bake Off

A great final yesterday. The technical challenge was 'just' make a Victoria Sandwich for Mary. Possibly the first cake we ever try making? Simple ingredients, equal weights of flour, butter, sugar and eggs and 'Bake!'
All three finalists did very well, and it must have been hard to choose between them.
But I think on balance the best baker won.
Is this the end of the show? I do hope not, it has brought baking back to the home and hopefully away from the supermarkets.
