"This monastic order staying since 1877 in the Elisabeth Stift in Ham. Here they concentrate on the elderly and the sick. In addition, they have been engaged for many years in kindergarten. On the occasion of the celebration of the 125th anniversary they have received the honorary citizenship of the city of Kerkrade from alderman Krasovec. Sisters Elizabeth Cashing have their motherhouse in Aachen.

In Kerkrade, they are housed in the monastery Anstelvallei built on the foundations of castle's Herenanstel. The first stone of it took place on April 1, 1876 and the initiation by Dean Quodbach took place on 14 June 1876. The monastery was completed in the spring of 1877. Today (2003) there is a retirement home located. Popularly, the building known as the Sjtieft. This name is derived from the Dutch word Stift which monastic order or does it founded.
