Castle Imstenrade

In the 14th century was on the place where Imstenrade is a castle of the lords of 'Emsenrode. The castle is in the course of the centuries disappeared and in 1908 became a part of the grounds of the castle-like villa Imstenrade 'built thereby were landscaped in 1928. 
Shortly after the construction of the villa in the immediate vicinity a farm and a water tower built. The villa was for some time a monastery of the Medical Mission Sisters, but is now privately owned again.
