The annual 'controlled burns' are happening at the moment.
Aimed to control the undergrowth of potentially hazardous summer fire fuel, smoke haze invariably plonks over the city for a couple of days or so.
Driving down from the hills into 'the big smoke' (literally!) this evening the sunset was quite spectacular.
