Blelham Tarn

One of the least well known nature reserves I think, tucked away near Wray Castle.
Day two of our mini holiday, and we went looking for more rare fungi! Spotted some pink wax caps, but the beastly cattle had rather trampled them.
Popped in to Ambleside on the way home for some luscious Bath Buns, and on via The Struggle and Troutbeck. The Autumn colours are really beginning to develop now, especially with this sunny weather.
And then an interesting evening with the book club to finish off with, and a new book to read! Brilliant!
