Hay's Dock Reflections

A stunning day, warm, calm and sunny for the most of it, it did cloud over in the afternoon.  This has been a great spell of weather for October! 

It's been a fairly quiet day in the museum, once again everyone is out enjoying the holidays in the sunshine.  We did have the council in for a meeting, and then there was setups for tonight.  After tea, I nipped back to the Lerwick and attended the lecture in the museum.  It was by John Shaw, a family friend and titled "The Killer's Touch", Witchcraft and murder on 17th century Shetland.  It was really interesting, and opened up new views for me, to a gruesome past.  Quiet night with the telly now.

Another stunning autumn's day, so peaceful and quiet.  There was mist in the valleys, frost on the ground, and the seas lay flat.  Outside the museum, the dock was almost a perfect mirror, and looked great with the boats and stonework.  Long may this continue.  Taken at Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
