A Return to Glencoe
Back to Glencoe today.
We wanted to visit the Glencoe Folk Museum.
This is a lovely little museum packed with interesting exhibits and some great old photographs.
The lady in charge couldn't have been nicer and pointed us in the direction of some super forestry walks just minutes away from the museum.
The way marked walk at Glencoe Lochan was a lovely treat and lots of people were out enjoying the dry day.
Headed back in the direction of Spean Bridge for our afternoon stop at Achnacarry and the Clan Cameron museum.
Interesting little museum giving a history of the clan and it's long military traditions.
Very appropriate that our journey home passed by the Commando monument as Achnacarry was where in WW2 the commandos carried out their basic training.
My image shows one of the colourful displays at the museum.
The extras are of the Pap of Glencoe and a little replica of the Ballachulish goddess that was on display at the museum.
