Full English
Well, it’s Saturday! So after an early somewhat depressing start to the weekend with steady rain followed by mist, I felt I needed to indulge myself.
True, the sun was to come out later in the day, but by then it was too late for a change of mind.
In any event, I was hearted to read in my morning newspaper just the other day that a doctor whose dieting recipes were being published had included among his recommendations a Full English Breakfast.
Well, believe me, that was re-assurance that there could still be some satisfaction left to dieting , and according to the doc’s recommendation contained only 330 calories. And there were twice as many ingredients to the recommended breakfast — two eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon. And here I am with a single serving of those ingredients, plus just one mushroom.
If the diet recommendation includes this just once a week, I might take to this routine of watching what I eat seriously!
