She knows

.... exactly when to come and just be with me. I had a hideous night and this morning she ate her breakfast leaning on my legs, she snuggled against me as she brushed her hair, she didn't leave my side.

I work very hard to minimise the impact of life's stresses on her, not hiding totally, but shielding. It wasn't possible this week, though her innocent 6 year old outlook meant she has been oblivious to some of it. But she knew to come close to mama and rest in that. I hope she always does.

Monkey came to school today, then to work as she had a medical assessment this afternoon. She was great, fine and has been medically approved to do the panto.

I surprised her tonight by turning up to school with B. She spotted her from the classroom and her face was just magical. She got to go home in Bs car and convinced her to play in the garden a wee while. She was even more chuffed when B and hubby popped round later- more garden time!
