München mag Dich

Shopping in Munich today! Erm, no. Do you remember, back in the dim and distant, when our shops were open between Monday and Saturday, and their hard working staff were allowed a day of rest? So it is in Munich still, and that day of rest is indeed Sunday... You'd think that, by now, I would've learned to check these things, but no, sadly I failed.

Still, it's been a gorgeous day here, sunny and 24ish degrees. We've wandered around the Innenstadt and Katy has further developed her seeming obsession with clocks - admittedly, there are some amazingly well crafted ones! And we waited, along with a few hundred others (and a cheeky campari and orange each), in Marienplatz until 5 o'clock to see the St Peters glockenspiel with it's moving, dancing figures, which was really charming :-)

This time tomorrow, Katy's aeroplane will be leaving one of those beautiful tracks across the (hopefully) blue sky,and I should be close to arriving in Prague. It's been lovely to see her, she's been a trooper despite a poorly leg, and I think I might be a bit sad to be alone again.

So, a few drinks at the hotel tonight, and bag packing whilst (again hopefully) watching a few more of our sporting gems winning medals.
