Ship wrecked?

A really late blip for me today. I stayed up, cause I'm not a night owl and usually tucked up in bed by 10.30pm, in the hope that I might see the Persied meteor shower but it is far too cloudy and probably there's too much city light anyway.
There were a few other contenders for today's photo....a wish, yachts and an amusing sign but I kept coming back to this one....it kinda looks like a boat with the front right looking like the front of a ship and the top left looking like where the flag should be...well I see it! And a nice contrast to the yachts in the background I think (although you can't see them too well)

Today:
Very lazy morning, didn't get showered and dressed til 11.45am!
This afternoon my daughter had a birthday party to go to at Stonehaven Outdoor Swimming Pool. Rather than drive down and back twice we figured we'd stay in Stonehaven. I like Stonehaven very much and it was a dry warm day, even if the sun didn't make an appearance.

We had 4 hours to kill though! Walked along the beach and took photos of the yachts..lots out on the water today looked like they were doing some racing or something. Walked right along to the Dunnotar Castle end of the beach and was going to go to the cafe there but discovered we had no money so walked back into town centre and walked back along the beach to said cafe.

Really wish we hadn't bothered, my son's juice was warm, my husband's coffee cup was only 3/4 full and 'didnae taste good' and the traybakes left a bit to be desired. I was very tempted not to pay but the presence of cctv cameras meant I was good and didn't make a run for it.

However, the girl on the till rung through table 14's order, half the price of ours, instead of our table 15 order...wasn't going to correct that one so paid with a smile and left.

Next time, we won't decide to try somewhere new and stick to our real favourite that is Molly's Cafe instead.

Went and had a wee look in the Tolbooth Museum.

Then we queued for I think 30 minutes at Aunt Bettys for an ice cream and had to laugh at the Newfoundland dog that sat itself down beside the shop and decided it was not moving no matter how much it's owner tried heaving on the lead :D

Collected daughter from party and home to have supper...chilli meatballs and choritzo (made by my husband) with chipper chips.

Just watched Tom Daley get bronze in the diving and now heading to bed, even my son said at 9pm 'you look tired mum, you should go to bed'!
