Sunrise over Rathdrum

Interesting Blipday which began at 5:30am as I trundled sleepily into the car and headed for Glendalough. As I promised yesterday, I carried only my new Fuji x10 although I cheated a little by bringing a monopod as well. One of my Finnish friends (he will remember the conversation) asked me a couple of weeks ago, how many shots I would take in a day in order to get my blip. He seemed surprised when I answered that I would usually shoot no more than 5 or 6 frames.
Well, today was somewhat different as I shot about 180. This was one of the first. A not to be resisted scene as I approached the village of Rathdrum about half way to my destination. I couldn't help thinking of Ansel Adams and his "Moonrise over Hernandes" as I made this photo. An Ansel Adams this is most certainly not but we can all dream can we not?
Whenever I get the chance I will put some of the other shots into Blipfolio but first I must get to commenting on your work today.

Ps. Yes, that's mist on those there hills!
