Broom patrol

OH what good sports these good friends are!    The 6 of us cut a large patch of Scots broom on top of our property…we are actually making progress with making a DMZ and there are truly places where the native salal and Mohonia are quite taking over.   We promised them only 30 min but made them quit at 45 while they were still smiling!   And now I’ve just lit the sauna that ought to fix any of those aching muscles …none of us have gotten any younger :-)  
Lots of good catch up with people we don’t see or talk to much…and hiring about their work with hospice and seniors and kids and art.    It’s really great to have some long history…and they‘ve all been here to the island several times in the past and even have experience with  the task on hand for tomorrow,.. Putting the grey float up for the winter…. (a blip tradition)

AND....  someone else is cooking tonight!!   Hurray!
