Uncovered

Another good day of DIY :)  First this morning, I popped out for a blood test, then carried on to a couple of shops to buy yet more paint and some white spirit - while Tim was pulling up the old floor (and resting a bit in between, due to not feeling very well).  I mucked in when I got back and between us we got the whole lot up by mid-afternoon.  It was hard going but thanks to the hammer drill we bought the other day, and a bit of brute force, we got all the old tiles and chipboard up.  We'll be putting down a new floor soon, but in the meantime it's odd to be walking around an inch or so lower on floorboards!

Tim had another go at the sink plumbing after that (having discovered a couple of small drips) and I repainted the cabinet trims with the new paint I bought today.  Looking better!

We had a tiler round this evening to give us a quote for the bathroom, then brought in a Tesco delivery, and then got a Chinese takeway (again!)  Busy day and evening!
