Ulva

We got off to a slow start and by the time we had rolled down to Ulva Ferry the rain had arrived much to the boatman's annoyance.

We took a wettish walk through woods and around bays but there were a surprising number of load  around and otters were in short supply. I did catch a bird streak by that possibly was a merlin, but might have really been a sparrowhawk.

I thought through the similarities and differences between Ulva in Scotland and Ulva in New Zealand. It would be an interesting project. My NZ Ulva page is here.


It was good to see the new affordable homes under construction next to the Ulva Ferry school.
