Carsaig and back

This was another beautiful day on Mull. It started dull and brooding as we drove south with Ben More dark and resentful. By the time we had stopped along the fabulous road from Gruline to Balnahard a number of times to look for otters, many seals, birds and eagles the weather had changed. As we rounded the back of Ben More it was full sun and by the time we got to Carsaig it was really warm.

Carsaig is a great place for a walk with fascinating geology and great scenes. The sun was setting on the way back and we got a great view of Staffa and the Treshnish islands. As we rounded Ben More again the moon rose over the mountains and sea loch.

Really hard to choose how to represent this day so I went for an Authur Dixon style postcard photo from the south side of Ben More.
