Here Be Dragons
If you're going to have water run off your roof, why not make it a bit more impressive to look at?
We had thought about going for a hike today but when the alarm went, it was absolutely pouring with rain. And so we moved swiftly on to Plan B.
Plan B involved trains as well as ferries and took us back into Switzerland. A lovely trip along the Untersee of Lake Constance* in a clean and punctual train to Stein am Rhein.
The Rhein is beautiful here - crystal clear and fast flowing. And the city holds quite a surprise with its many painted buildings.
We had a lovely couple of hours there before heading back home via Migros & the Co-op.
Migros & the Co-op are Swiss supermarkets and really good. We picked up a few bits and peices that we can't get back home.
And yet again we beat the weather forecast of rain and cloud and had really warm sunshine. So much so that it necessitated a stop in the Wessenberg in Konstanz for a refreshing Helles before the ferry home.
*For heaven's sake, it's called der Bodensee
