Dalemain House

A grey windy day with the promise of showers and my aching knees told me it was an indoor day. 
Dalemain House was just up the road and full of surprises. A tudor and Georgian house full  of history and beautiful furniture. The current Mrs Jane Hasell- McCosh has a passion for gardening and Marmalade. The garden is famous for it's Blue Poppy, and its unique natural gardens hidden from view. The Ha Ha is about 7 metres deep so a bit of a liability. for children. The World Marmalade Awards are held annually so lots of marmalade for sale - marmalade will never be the same again.
