Goodbye Jersey
Our last morning, but we managed to visit St Aubin for a wander around. Yet another delightful harbour village, with the inevitable fantastic houses and apartments with panoramic views.
We were sad to leave Jersey and its tidiness, hanging baskets in full bloom everywhere, polite drivers, lovely cows, wee coves, vast clean beaches and picturesque wee harbours with excellent cafes (and Jersey ice cream vans) on most of them. And most importantly - NO litter! The history of the German occupation is interesting and ever-present. If you haven't been, then you should.
An easy flight back, tram and bus home, then Elizabeth brought Archie back, and Christine came up with his belongings. He's had a wonderful time, but I think he's really tired - he even hopped into his bed for a while. He gave us his usual cursory greeting, with a few cries, and a bit of playful nipping.

Top right: A small corner of Anne's Art Deco jug collection (very jealous).
Bottom left: The Statue in Liberation Square (a great place for people watching).
Bottom right: JR at de Gruchy's red carpet evening - with her purchase...
PS - Arrived home to find a letter with my next knee operation appointment! Next month!! Jings, this knee is going to have to get A LOT better before I let them touch the other one...
