Underneath the Arches

After a reasonable nights sleep we were up and out to pick up Emily for the day.

We drove into Manchester, had a walk around, Emily was interested to know what the big round building was, Manchester's Central Library, looking resplendent in the morning sunshine.

We went inside for a look around as it has been recently refurbished and cleaned externally. Emily wanted to know if you had to buy the books......I was explaining how the library system works. She had brought her own book, which she read whilst sat in the children's section ;-)

We decided on Pizza Express for lunch.
Very nice it was too, as always Emily ate all her pasta and icecream ;-)

We went into the Arndale Centre and Emily spent some of her birthday money.
I popped into Boots to buy toothpaste, for obvious reasons, before going to the Dentist for my check up. After a brush and polish I was given a clean bill of health, back in six months :-)

Back to the car.........£12.50 for 4 hours parking, then on to my mums for a quick visit, before dropping Emily off.

This is a quick upload as I need to get ready, another meal out this evening, before our quiz!!! Today's blip is Emily and Grandy under the portico of the Central Library building.
