Fleeting

A drizzly day; much more so than forecast. Finally this evening the sun has appeared, it's warm yellow rays contrasting with the deep grey clouds that linger in the sky. The leaves on the apple tree I have in a pot on my patio cast a pretty shadow against my fence. A short but special moment.

I spent most of my day inside, making courgette cakes and bunching up more of the flowers from the garden for drying. My spare room is now filled with bunches of lavender! Also a short trip to the local garden centre where I bought nothing I intended - oops!
