Suits You Sir!

You wait ages for a birthday and then two come along at once. This one, following so quickly on His Lordship's, was Glasgow daughter's and we went through to see her and Ewan and hand over the cardigan. Since she didn't want to open the parcel in the busy café, we won't know for sure if it actually fits her until later, so my fingers are crossed.

Ewan was full of chat about trains and undergrounds and tunnels and Legoland, having just returned from the family holiday in Denmark. Meanwhile poor Nina was back at school and missed out on the occasion. No doubt Ewan will tell her, and gloat.

Very cleverly we thought, we had booked a three week holiday in Orkney next August to avoid the Edinburgh Festival extravaganza, only to have our landlady phone up yesterday and tell us she had made a big mistake and actually already had a long standing booking for most of that time. We rebooked for June, but now have to find another getaway for August. Perhaps Ireland has our name on it.
