A Year Older and Wiser

Lord and Lady Findhorn certainly know how to push the boat out to celebrate His Lordship's birthday. No expense was spared in using the bus passes to take us to Peebles and dine on the best scones one could possibly wish for- cranberry and walnut straight from the oven, served with butter, jam and cream, thus ensuring that there may well be a cholesterol limit to how many more birthdays there will be to celebrate.

From the blip, you can see we didn't quite manage all of the butter, but that morsel of biscuit on my plate served with the coffee did not linger much longer.

If there were flies in the ointment, then they were the missing buses in both directions meaning a lot of unnecessary waiting at bus stops, but they were minor irritations in an otherwise perfect day.

Now it's on with the pinny to make the birthday tea for the bold birthday boy. Just as well these birthdays only come once a year- I can't stand the pace.....
