You know the dog has taken over your life...
... when he sends his 'Gran' a birthday card! I couldn't resist this card for Mum whose birthday it was today. And we did at least see her for the start of it even if we started on our journey back over to this side soon after breakfast. Bailey will be missed over the other side, I think.
We had 3 hours in the car with it getting warmer and warmer as we headed east and 26 degrees by the time we got home. I unpacked and got a few things sorted whilst Bailey reacquainted himself with the sunny and cool spots in the house on an alternate basis.
And tonight we have been to see his favourite, the bestest friend and the official Bailey-sitter for the first time in over two weeks. He was very pleased to see them and stayed awake for the majority of the evening but made himself at home for a snooze whilst we chatted, looked at Easter holiday destinations and launched failed spider recovery missions.
I'm hoping he is going to be too exhausted tonight to consider wanting to be asleep anywhere other than his own bed. Fingers crossed for a full night's sleep with no 'calls'.
