Today's the day .............................. to grow from seed

You really don't have to spend a load of money to have lots of colour in the garden.  All you need is a few packets of seed, a bit of spare time - and lots of patience.  From one packet of marigold seeds, I have had literally hundreds of plants that have spread their magic about the garden, warding off pests in the vegetable plot, bringing colour to the herbaceous beds and lighting up the hanging baskets.

If you keep cutting off the dead flowers, they go on and on flowering for weeks.  And I just love their characteristic perfume .........................
