above Thirlmere

The scaffolding went up on Friday and the builders arrived before 8 this morning. I was up in the loft taking photos once they had removed the old felt but it was such a lovely day I decided to go for a walk and get something more scenic for a blip. 

Having got the last parking space in the layby at Thirlmere I wandered along the lower fell path to this bridge with it's great view north to Blencathra. There's not a lot of heather compared with other areas in the Lakes but it added a nice splash of colour.
