Spooky Hedgebanks

It was the ninth stage of our Devon Coast to Coast walk today which took us from a little village called Witheridge to an even smaller one called Knowstone. We didn't meet any other walkers on this quite remote section of the two Moors Way. I liked the effect of this avenue of beech trees we walked along.the extras show an unusual gate we passed and a circular object outside the Knowstone church. I have been looking for some information on it but haven't found any.
