Happy horse wins third prize
This morning we popped over to Findhorn to see Rhea and Jane’s exhibition at the Moray Art Centre. We spent the afternoon at the Nairn Show. Our first port of call was the Shetland ponies. The one that I have blipped appears to be amused that he has won a third prize. Then we worked our way round the showground taking in cattle, sheep, heavy horses, and the craft, flower and produce tents. We also watched the horse jumping and lurcher racing. The latter was hilarious when spectators’ dogs were invited into the arena to compete: most showed some interest in the quarry, but didn’t understand that the goal of the game was to run after it.
We had a break from cake for lunch today and instead enjoyed a delicious bowl of lentil and ham soup in the catering tent at the show.
