Westray sunset
This sunset marked the end of another wonderful day on Westray.
Soon after breakfast we set off to explore Westray's airfield, home of one of the shortest commercial flights in the world (around 2 minutes), and then hunted for fossils on the beach at the Bay of Skaill. After 'lunch' of carrot and walnut cake at the Wheeling Steen Gallery we spent the afternoon at Noltland Castle, then on the cliffs at Noup Head, where we watched hundreds of sea birds swooping and in and out of their precarious ledge nests.
I photographed the setting sun from just in front of our accommodation on our way home from supper at the Pierowall Hotel.
Exercise today: 15 miles tandem riding, and walking (and an unconvincingly high step count).
