Stand Off

I came across a bit of a road block on my travels today, a farmer was loading sheep and the road was blocked.

It was quite nice to stand and chat for 10 minutes while the sheep were loaded, they were being taken back to the farm for shearing but due to the catchy weather they would have to be housed so that the fleeces were completely dry before they were clipped.

This Zwartbles x Jacob ewe was very protective of her lamb, she was stamping her feet and facing up to the dog - very brave, meanwhile the dog was good as gold and very patient.
