Salut
To celebrate a successful trip, which unfortunately ends tomorrow, Wally produced champagne before we went out to dinner at one of those trendy pavement restaurants usually frequented by others.
Wally and James insisted on shouting us - me for organising and John for doing all the driving :-)
We really did cram a lot into a couple of days in Paris.
This morning we went to Montmatre which I thought would be swarming with other tourists but it was surprisingly quiet.
Then after finishing the remains of our cheese for lunch John, James and I went to the Paris Medical Museum.
It was certainly something different.
Exhibits included the instruments used in Napoleon's autopsy and a table made out of preserved body parts !!!
I came away very glad to be living in modern times after seeing some of the surgical instruments employed in pre-anaesthetic days.
