Under the Big Top
Today we went to the circus with Graham, Bec and the 4 grandchildren.
That's another advantage of being a grandparent. You get to do these things all over again.
I wondered if it was all going to be a bit seedy, and not as I remembered from past visits but we were very impressed and all enjoyed it.
Elizabeth turned to me as one stage and said "GrandAde, are all circuses as good as this?" Even little Henry, 10 months, appeared to take it all in.
It is nice to see not everything has disappeared under a shroud of political correctness and circus people are still circus people.
There were several children involved, the youngest being six and already very skilled.
We were assured the children spend the normal amount of time doing school work with the 2 teachers employed to travel with the circus.
Of course only other blippers could understand my frustration to find no photography was permitted! I was really looking forward to getting some great shots. As it was I was restricted to a few sneaky ones like this, thanks to the tilting screen on the E-M1.
If you live near Sydney and are interested in going, Stardust Circus is on for another week at Castle Hill and then going to Rosehill Racecourse.
